Spark Detection

Spark detection and extinguishing systems are a good, and many times, required means of eliminating an ignition source from the explosion scenario. A spark detection system in the inlet ductwork of a dust collection system, for example, detects the presence of a spark traveling to the collector and extinguishes it reliably preventing ignition of the dust cloud within the collector. Spark Detection is also a recognized means of mitigating risks associated with ignition sources in processes and conveying systems.
